The ITB Textiles Division supplies the textile industry with a wide range of seamless felts and belts which have become over the years a reference standard in terms of quality and performance for any textile finishing department.
When designing our belts we blend tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and technology so to generate better performing, longer lasting products.
Even though the very beginning of our history dates back to 1878, the current ITB Industrie Tessili Bresciane brand was first registered in 1918 at the Chamber of Commerce of Brescia, one of the then most active and fast developing textile regions in Italy. In 1962 the company relocated to a new and larger site in Merone (Como), from where it presently operates.
Throughout the centuries ITB has proudly served numerous industries and thousands of customers worldwide with a comprehensive range of textile products, specialising during the past 60 years in the manufacturing of seamless felt belts which are today unanimously recognised as the reference standard in terms of quality and performance.
Organised in three distinct divisions, Industrial, Textiles and the Batteries Division, ITB counts on a creative R&D centre, a state-of-the-art laboratory and a manufacturing department equipped with a mix of modern and old however irreplaceable machinery, where our young and motivated production team works under strict Lean methodologies.
With an innate sense of respect for the environment and the community, the ITB mission is, and will always be, focused on the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers. These values have contributed to the acquisition in 2008 of ITB Industrie Tessili Bresciane by the Heimbach Group, following a strategic expansion of their Technical Textile business segment.
ITB TEXTILES DIVISION
Compacting Felts
Developed together with the main OEM’s the ITB compacting felts are designed for tubular or open-width knitted fabrics. Made with 100% Nomex© fibers they have a very flexible and smooth non-marking surface which ensures maximum shrinkage and dimensional stability of processed fabric and a long working life. One only premium felt style with thickness range from 12mm to 22mm is suitable for all brands of compacting calenders.
Sanfor Felt Blankets
The ITB sanfor felts are made of special technical grade fibers having high tensile strength for use in the production of woven fabrics such as denim, bed sheeting, shirting, terry and other types. They are heat-set and pre-stressed for dimensional stability, are finely textured on both sides and guarantee excellent air permeability. Special fibers may be used or chemical treatments applied for demanding applications.
Decatizing Felt Blankets and Shrink on Sleeves
Specifically designed for continuous decatizing and setting machines, they have a seamless construction to leave no imprints and are fleece-layered to give fabric a softer, fuller hand. In addition the ITB decatizing felts and shrink on sleeves offer excellent stability and tracking properties. Special style with heat and chemical resistant synthetic fibers available for the most modern machines with pressurized steam
Transfer Printing Felt Blankets
These felts are made with 100% Nomex© fibers to withstand even the highest temperatures. They are heat-set for minimal widthwise shrinkage and provide a precise and uniformed transfer of colors to the processed fabric with the sharpest definition.
